The Eton College King's Scholarships are based on academic ability for boys entering the school at age 13. The King's Scholarship exam is a very demanding exam designed to find the most able candidates for a place at Eton College. There are around 1,350 boys at Eton of which only 70 are King's Scholars, who board in College House within the College grounds. Each year approximately 14 King's Scholarships are awarded.
